The first steam-hauled special for many years, I believe since 2005, on the Scarborough to Hull line occurred on 28th September 2011. A Railtourer charter from Skegness was diesel hauled to York, where LMS class 8F No. 48151 took over the train for the run to Scarborough. After being turned and serviced, the 8F hauled the train onwards as far as Goole via Bridlington and Anlaby Road Junction, where it gave way to diesel power. The special is seen here near Speeton on the stiff climb away from Hunmanby.
