Network Rail rail grinder No. DR79247 was named Roger South on Thursday 22nd September 2011 at an event at York NRM by his mother. The name plate is on the other side on this vehicle but this side on DR79241 at the other end of this set. Roger suffered a serious cycling accident two years ago and then died six months later. Many friends and former work mates joined the family for the event.
