Ferryside is situated at the estuary of the Afon Twyi and can be a perfect destination for railway enthusiasts to take their families as it combines a good sandy beach, free car parking, and excellent cafe, a busy station with semaphores and the ringing of signal bells. On 1st May 2011 Arriva Trains Wales number No. 150279 pulls into the station while working the 12.05 Cardiff Central to Pembroke Dock.
