GWR 'Castle' No. 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' worked 'The Red Rose' railtour from Tyseley to Blackburn for Vintage Trains on 16th April 2011. Having earlier crossed the Pennines via Standedge, the 'Castle' faced the climb to Copy Pit summit to cross them again. Hundreds of photographers and onlookers gathered by the lineside and were treated to a spectacular sight as the train passed.
