The Delaware Lackawanna & Wwestern No. 426 switcher built in Cleveland by General Motors in 1935 600 HP. Two pre-production units were built in February 1935; known as Pre-SC for switcher/cast frame They were built as EMD serial nos. 516 and 517 and were delivered to the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad as their Nos. 425 and 426. Found in a steel mill on Patapsco & Back River Railroad in Maryland numbered 109, No. 426 was restored in 1996 by the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad and is still owned by them. Last operated in 2001.
