Bank Holiday Monday, 30th August 2010 saw Compass Railtours operate a special from Crewe to Durham via Carnforth, workington and the Tyne Valley. The tour, originally booked for Western Diesel haulage, was headed by Deltic class 55 No. 55022 'Royal Scots Grey'. The train is seen here on the return trip, via the East Coast Main Line, passing Copmanthorpe, then being routed via Leeds and Hellifield to Carnforth.
