Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 Diesel Mechanical Locomotive, seen here at the Midland Railway Centre on 2nd May 2010 in National Coal Board markings. Whilst displaying ‘South Yorkshire Area No. 20’, the locomotive is Ex-BR, and was probably numbered as one of D2500 to D2509. Powered by a Gardner 8 L3 diesel engine, and equipped with Fluidrive and SSS Powerflow gearbox, they were initially supplied to the London Midland Region of British Railways.
