D&RGW K36, No. 488 waits in the Wye at Cumbres Depot on 18th June 2010, some 10,015 feet above sea level with a caboose ready to return to Chama having shunted the rest of its train into the siding ready to be taken on to Antonito the following day. This working was part of an Engineer’s Train (driver training) which the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad were running during June 2010.
